What can be said about Brian? Conscientious? Hard working? Committed? All these things are true of Mr Farnsworth’s faithful second in command. But the one word that really describes him is… STRESSED!
It’s Brian’s job to make sure everyone inside and outside of BIGcorp, from the thousands of employees, business partners and supply chains, to the millions of external customers browsing their webpages has the most up to date information at their disposal. That’s no small task!
Often these challenges can seem insurmountable, but with a little ingenuity – and more than a little help from the Nice Man from Pirean – Brian always finds a way to surpass expectations… just in time for the next challenge!
Mr Farnsworth
Head of IT Service Management
Little is known of Launcelot Perkin Farnsworth’s early childhood. The only son of shamed crockery magnate Oscar Farnsworth and socialite Daphne Blanchefleur, responsibility for his care shifted in his infancy to uncle and former BIGcorp board member Sir Regis Farnsworth following the tragic death of his parents in a freak dog grooming accident.
A solitary child, little Launcelot would spend much of his time watching his uncle at work, studying the old man’s legendary management skills and imbibing his business acumen. Shunning school for an education ‘in the real world’ Lancelot would sit silently in the corner of the boardroom enrapt in management meetings as he brushed his faithful Pomeranian 'Plantagenet' - the last link to his parents and the legendary Farnsworth Tea Cup empire.
At age sixteen Launcelot embarked on an odyssey of personal and professional self-discovery by planning and overseeing the move of the reprographics department from floor seven to twelve of BIGcorp HQ, an exercise in leadership and bravery that he draws upon to this day.
His success in reprographics led to his meteoric ascension through BIGcorp’s newly formed IT Department to become Head of IT Service Management, a role he believes to be the foundation BIGcorp’s success.
It is through Launcelot that the corridors of BIGcorp still ring with the gruff Farnsworth bark, encouraging the workforce to work harder, faster and to stay away from the coffee percolator.
A life-long comic book fan, Mr Farnsworth is acclaimed throughout BIGcorp for his innovative approach to staff motivation, which often includes attending team meetings dressed as a superhero and demanding employees ‘unlock their inner business-hero.’

Terry Pickles
Help Desk
A Londoner through and through, Terry Pickles was born on his father’s fruit stall to an audience of applauding customers.
A fast learner with the gift of the gab Terry’s first encounter with BIGcorp came at the age of thirteen when he negotiated a multi-pound deal to supply the headquarters canteen with delicious oranges and bananas.
Entranced by the aura of the business world Terry vowed there and then that he would climb the golden ladder of success to the top of the BIGcorp tree, and take a bite from the succulent apple of achievement - an ambition he still holds to this day.
His big break arrived when he was made concierge for BIGcorp’s Stepney office. It was his job to guide visitors through the notoriously complicated network of revolving doors in the building’s foyer, and some say to ensure unwanted visitors never found their way to the reception.
But success didn’t stop there and Terry was quick to recognise the potential in IT, working his way to the help desk where he has been ‘Employee of the Month’ for thirty-six consecutive months!
Something of a ladies’ man, Terry is currently disputing several claims for paternity made against him following the notorious BIGcorp Fancy Dress party of Christmas 2006 - on the grounds that another, more portly employee was also dressed as Spiderman.
Jez Mantillo
CEO BIGCorp Records
Hailing from Winchester, UK, Jez Mantillo emerged from poverty-stricken beginnings in England’s commuter belt to become a world force in global multi-media entertainment. From MP3 to TV and beyond, Mantillo has left his magic mark on them all to make BIGcorp - and BIGcorp records – THE brand for entertainment.
From his first steps as a humble ‘Tea Boy’ (Tea is a popular English beverage), at BIGcorp Recording Co. Jez soon found he had an ear for a hit and the determination to realise his dreams. By night he secretly worked the sound desks, writing and producing DJ Grubby Stayne’s international number One ‘Ain’t No Time To Party (‘Til It’s My Time To Party)’.
With a worldwide hit on his hands Mantillo dropped the kettle and grasped the reins of the failing studio, taking personal responsibility for nurturing such global talents as Lil’ Genius and teen heartthrob sensations (and renowned body building detectives) The Pardy Boyz.
A very private man, Jez relinquished his role as enigmatic svengali-figure to take the limelight as a hard-hitting judge on top rated talent show ‘Fame Attractor: The Star Search Begins’. Success in the medium of global TV has continued in his role as Executive Producer of ‘Fame Attractor: Now You’re Not Famous’, hard-hitting crime series ‘Intestine Detectives: Wisconsin’ and late night fitness show ‘Pump Me (Up)’.
2004 saw Jez return to his first love, music when he was appointed CEO of BIGcorp Records.
Very much the renaissance man of modern music his most recent projects show he still has what it takes to roll out the hits, from the powerful, emotive sounds of SnotRocket to the bestselling ‘Monkey-Time-Mega-Party-Mix’ albums.
Roderik Spektrum
Head of Corporate Relations
As the Global Head of Corporate Relations Roderik Spektrum is the embodiment of BIGcorp’s social conscience. From Employment Rights to Environmental Issues Roderik is the first port of call regarding our strategies for corporate responsibility.
The youngest son of acclaimed poets Huguenot and Italia Spektrum, Roderik studied at the prestigious St Well-Be-Notts College for boys before attending Camford University where he graduated with honours in Business Science and Interpretive Dance.
Despite his busy work schedule Roderik is also patron of the Change Through Mime Foundation and is recognised as a world authority in the study of lepidopterology.
Fingers
Penguin
A native of Antarctica, Fingers hitched a ride with a group of polar explorers on their way home to the UK. After answering an ad for a flatmate in a newsagents window he’s been living with Brian ever since.
Fingers is very much a Penguin abroad and brings his easy going Antarctic attitude (and the occasional fish) to even the most stressful situations. His unique way of looking at the hustle and bustle of modern life – with a raised eyebrow or a wry croak – always helps to highlight the ridiculousness of our own material concerns.
Although currently unemployed Fingers can often be found wandering the corridors of BIGcorp HQ in his trademark dressing gown, greeting employees with a cheery smile and the wave of a flipper.
